Introduction and Objective: T2D presents significant challenges to health outcomes, necessitating effective strategies to optimize glycemic levels. This study examines the impact of tech empowered personalized lifestyle coaching, encompassing diet, fitness, and mental wellness, on improving glycemic control in T2D.Methods: This interim analysis was conducted on 34 participants (HbA1c >8%) compared the test group (n=18) and control group (n=16) for 3 months. The test group received CGM alongside personalized diet, fitness, and mental wellness interventions by a health coach alongside a physician consultation via a digital diabetes management program while the control group received the standard of care from visits to physician only. Clinical parameters (HbA1c, FBS, and weight) were measured and statistical significance tests were conducted using the Wilcoxon signed rank test and Mann-Whitney U-test.Results: In a 90 day study, the test group exhibited substantial improvements in HbA1c, FBS, and weight from baseline to end of Quarter 1 (Q1), reducing from 8.6±1.5% to 7.0±0.9%, 133.9±53.9 mg/dL to 98.6±33.4 mg/dL, and 72.8±14.7 kg to 71.3±15.2 kg, respectively, with all achieving statistical significance of p<0.05. In contrast, the control group displayed marginal changes in HbA1c (8.9±1.6% to 8.5±1.7%), an increase in FBS (143.4±42.2 mg/dL to 161.9±52.5 mg/dL), and negligible change in weight (72.1±9.5 kg to 72.1±9.3 kg).Conclusion: By integrating personalized strategies into diabetes care, the test group achieved a substantial mean reduction in HbA1c (1.6±1.3% vs. 0.3±0.9%), FBS (35.2±48.3 mg/dL vs. -18.4±49.2 mg/dL) and weight (1.5±3.8 kg vs. 0.03±1.7 kg) over 3 months in contrast to the control group. These findings emphasize the efficacy of integrating end-to-end personalized interventions into the standard of care, offering profound clinical implications and paving the way for future research.
